The Instructional Course Lecture Series, has been conceptualised based on the highly popular ICLs of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons(AAOS) and the Current Concepts in Joint Replacement(CCJR). The course emphasises on conducting surgical skills workshops, didactic lectures, panel discussions, master case series etc..
There has also been emphasis on postgraduate training in the form of bedside clinical examination, demonstration of physical signs and crucial decision making skills. To achieve this, the ICL-Kochi working group, have included the best faculty from India and overseas. The course directors consider the following training as their benchmark: FRCS(Tr and Orth) rotation training, DipSICOT exams, Orthopaedic In-Training Exams(OITE) and the American Board of Surgery(ABOS).
